Lurex yarns gain a very different look and function by being twisted or centered with different yarns. Metallic threads with widths such as 1/32, 1/69, 1/85, 1/100 and 1/27 are produced as a result of cutting 1 inch of polyester film with different thicknesses, one or both sides of which are coated with epoxy and aluminum protection. Yarns cut in different sizes can be used in this way (M type), as well as by twisting 2 nylon or polyester 20 denier monofilament yarns in S and Z shapes.
